🙏 Faith
The foundation of your cult. Faith is required for almost everything.
How to Gain Faith
- Click the pentagram (1 faith per click, upgradeable)
- Chapel produces 0.5 faith/sec
- Shrine produces 1 faith/sec
- Temple produces 8 faith/sec
- Each follower generates 0.1 faith/sec passively
- Creatures: Imp (+0.5), Hellhound (+1), Demon (+3), Arch Demon (+10)
Use the Prayer Circle ritual to double faith production for 30 seconds. Great for early game!
👻 Souls
Ethereal essence harvested from your followers. Required for advanced buildings.
How to Gain Souls
- Sacrifice followers: 10 souls each
- Sacrificial Altar produces 0.3 souls/sec
- Soul Crypt produces 3 souls/sec
- Temple produces 1 soul/sec
- Creatures: Shade (+0.2), Wraith (+1), Demon (+0.5), Arch Demon (+3)
Balance sacrifices with recruitment. You need followers to sacrifice, but sacrificing too many slows faith production.
🩸 Blood
Life essence collected from sacrifices. Used for creatures and dark rituals.
How to Gain Blood
- Sacrifice followers: 5 blood each
- Sacrificial Altar produces 0.1 blood/sec
- Beast Den produces 2 blood/sec
- Creatures: Hellhound (+0.3), Nightmare (+0.5)
The Blood Moon ritual triples both soul AND blood production for 30 seconds.
⚡ Dark Energy
Mystical force from the void. Essential for late-game progression.

The Void Communion ritual gives 5x dark energy production for 20 seconds. Use it when you have multiple sources producing!

Created through dark alchemy. Primarily used to hire managers.

Premium currency. Cannot be produced - must be earned!
How to Gain Gems
- Complete achievements (1-500 gems each)
- Finish quests (5-200 gems)
- Daily reward Day 3: 10 gems
- Daily reward Day 7: 50 gems
- Complete special events
- Redeem promo codes
What Gems Are Used For
- Skip construction time (0.1 gems per second remaining)

Progression Guide
Follow this path for optimal progression:
Early Game (Chapter 1-2)
- Click to gather faith
- Build Chapel, then Shrine
- Recruit 5+ followers to unlock Altar
- Start sacrificing for souls and blood
- Build Sacrificial Altar for passive income
- Spawn creatures on the merge board and merge matching pairs
Mid Game (Chapter 3-4)
- Build Temple (requires Shrine level 5)
- Build Soul Crypt (requires Altar level 3) — unlocks Dungeon
- Send creatures into the dungeon for loot and infamy
- Save up 50 dark energy from sacrifices
- Build Dark Obelisk for dark energy production
- Build Laboratory for gold production — unlocks Alchemy
- Hire your first managers
Late Game (Chapter 5+)
- Build Void Portal (produces all resources)
- Push deeper dungeon floors for relics and prestige bonus
- Merge high-tier creatures (T4-T5) for massive production
- Work toward 1M total faith for Ascension
- Ascend to earn Dark Essence
- Spend Dark Essence on permanent skill upgrades
Don't ascend too early! Make sure you've unlocked most upgrades and buildings first.
Creatures (Spawn & Merge)
Creatures provide passive resource production and fight in the dungeon. Spawn them from spawners and merge matching pairs to create higher tiers!
How Spawning & Merging Works
- Buy spawners in the Creatures tab (each spawner auto-spawns creatures onto the merge board)
- Spawners cost materials like Ember Dust, Shadow Wisps, Spider Guts, or Slime Gel
- When two identical creatures are adjacent on the merge board, drag one onto the other to merge
- Merging creates the next tier creature in that chain
- Creatures on the board produce resources; collect them or they auto-collect when the board is full
- Deploy creatures from your lair into the dungeon for combat

Focus on merging up — a single T3 creature produces more than four T1 creatures combined!
Dungeon System
Unlocked by building the Soul Crypt. Deploy your creatures to fight through dungeon floors!
How It Works
- Deploy creatures from your lair to the dungeon roster
- Each creature has a combat power rating and a role (fighter or support)
- Fighters deal damage directly; supports boost the party
- Enter the dungeon and fight through waves of enemies on each floor
- Boss encounters appear every few floors
- Earn infamy for clearing floors — infamy provides a prestige bonus to all production
Infamy Ranks
- 0-24: Unknown
- 25-49: Whispered
- 50-99: Menace
- 100+: Feared
Stamina
- Each dungeon run costs 1 stamina
- Stamina regenerates over time (max 10)
- Use the Retreat button to leave a floor early if your party is struggling
Higher-tier creatures are much stronger in combat. A single T4 creature can often carry through early floors.
Alchemy
Unlocked by building the Dark Laboratory. Convert resources into other resources!
How It Works
- Select a conversion recipe (e.g. faith → souls, blood → dark energy)
- Each conversion has a ratio and a cooldown
- Higher Laboratory levels unlock better conversion rates
Alchemy is great for converting excess resources you're overproducing into ones you need.
Relics
Unlocked by building the Soul Crypt. Powerful artifacts that provide passive bonuses!
How to Get Relics
- Defeat dungeon champions (boss floors)
- Complete special missions
How Relics Work
- Equip relics in limited slots for passive bonuses
- Each relic provides a unique effect (production boost, combat power, etc.)
- You can swap relics freely — experiment to find the best combination
Daily & Weekly Tasks
Unlocked by building the Shadow Temple. Complete tasks for bonus rewards!
How Tasks Work
- Daily tasks refresh every 24 hours
- Weekly tasks refresh every 7 days
- Tasks track progress automatically (sacrifices, building levels, resource milestones, etc.)
- Rewards include faith, souls, gems, and other resources
Check your tasks regularly — many complete naturally as you play!
Prestige System (Ascension)
Reset your progress to gain permanent multipliers!
Requirements
- Minimum 1,000,000 total faith earned
What You Gain
- Dark Essence = sqrt(totalFaith / 1,000,000)
- Each Dark Essence = +10% to ALL production
- Dark Essence can be spent on permanent Skills
- Dungeon infamy provides a prestige production bonus
